2020 was a year full of social tension and division, book-ended by the Covid-19 outbreak and a presidential election. In the spirit of unity and creative spontaneity, Better Block SGF constructed a simple swing set, called the “Swing-Vote”, and placed the installation near a polling location on election day. Individuals cast their vote and took a swing as a light-hearted celebration of our right to vote and ability to help build the community we want to live in and leave behind for generations to come.
