This year we participated in the annual, worldwide event, of Park(ing) Day. In partnership with the Discovery Center, we created a semi-permanent parklet in a single parallel parking space to provide an area for interactive displays and activities used by the students and staff of the Discovery Center throughout the day.

This parklet was a demonstration in the value and need for quality public spaces within our urban environment, and how much social potential can exist within the confines of a space that would otherwise be dedicated to the storage of a single vehicle.
