We kicked off our very first Better Block SGF project by participating in the annual, global event, Park(ing) Day. We temporarily transformed a single parallel parking space in downtown Springfield into a micro-park to demonstrate the value and need for quality public spaces to be integrated into the fabric of our urban environment.

Throughout the day, different groups programmed the space with a variety of activities and uses including yoga, corn-hole, and an urban outdoor classroom.
